This cottage is located in Near Sawrey, the location of Hill Top, the beloved home of Beatrix Potter, now owned by the National Trust and a fitting memorial to the writer. Just two miles from the property is the shoreline of Lake Windermere, and the ferry terminal from a where a small car ferry takes visitors across the lake to Bowness. Those who want to enjoy the outdoor pursuits that this area is famous for, will find plenty to do within a few miles of the property, including water sports on Coniston Water, climbing at Dow Crag, the high ropes course and zip wire in Grizedale forest.

Entering this cottage through the timber porch, guests will immediately notice just how much care and attention has gone into the details to keep the interior of this cottage in-keeping with its Arts and Crafts heritage. The lounge features an open fire, and pretty window seat, as well as more modern creature comforts in the form of the TV/DVD, and hi-fi.
