Bickleigh Mill – Places to Visit

A little bit about us…

Bickleigh Mill offers three floors of retail therapy, plus a delightful Bistro. We are open 7 days a week from 10.00am, with late night shopping & dining on Friday & Saturday.

A brief history of the mill…

Bickleigh Mill was built in the late 18th century and was milling corn until the devastating floods of the 1960’s. Corn from surrounding farms was raised into the corn loft and then ground. The mill workings and water wheel are still on display. In 1973 the Mill, Bickleigh Farm and its land underwent a major change when it became the Devonshire Centre with crafts, a working farm and the mill. Today the farm is privately owned but Bickleigh Mill maintains its attraction as one of the most idyllic settings in the country.

From locally made items to exotic gifts from around the world, Bickleigh Mill offers a huge range to suit all tastes, including a dedicated toy floor.¬†Whether it’s a present for a special occasion, a holiday gift or just spoiling yourself, you won’t leave empty-handed!

Set in the Old Mill House, our restaurant has such a warm and traditional atmosphere that it makes you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door.
