Ideally situated in this beautiful part of the country within Exmoor National Park, a short stroll from the sea and surrounded by stunning scenery - the beauty of the landscape defies description.
Walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, bird watching, star gazing, shooting, sailing, swimming, surfing - they're all on our doorstep.
If you're looking for a more relaxing break, there are plenty of beautiful and interesting places to visit in and around Porlock village. An excellent regular bus service to Lynton and Lynmouth and to Minehead runs past the front door.

Myrtle Cottage welcomes children, walkers and cyclists - we are also dog friendly.
We are open all year round, have free off-road parking, secure cycle storage and drying facility. There is a good choice of pubs, restaurants and tea shops to suit all tastes within an easy 2 minute walk from the front door.
Myrtle Cottage has comfortable beamed bedrooms each with modern en-suite facilities, complimentary tea, coffee and toiletries, flat screen TVs with Freeview and free WiFi access.
Enjoy a generous breakfast including home made fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, fruit juice, cereals and a full English Breakfast (using Exmoor's best quality locally sourced bacon, sausages and free range eggs) as well as homemade marmalade, local jams and honey - even the coffee is roasted in the village!
