Sandy Wyke Cottage Property Description

Situated 2 miles west of Lake Windermere, Hawkshead is one of the prettiest villages in England. A wonderful mixture of the historic and picturesque, its whitewashed houses, narrow street and cobbled alleyways are overlooked by a charming 15th Century church. and have remained largely unaltered for the past 300 years. Hawkshead is ideal for a holiday at any time of the year. The area, much loved by Beatrix Potter, abounds in delightful scenery with walks to suit all abilities. Grizedale Forest is close by where you will find the famous forest/sculpture trails,and mountain biking tracks.

Sandy Wyke is is a charming, recently refurbished cottage with pretty fabrics and coordinated colours. Set right in the middle of the village close to village shops and plenty of places to eat in the evenings without using your car. The the bench at the front of the cottage is an ideal place to sit with a cup of tea (or a gin and tonic) and watch the world go by.

THE ACCOMMODATION COMPRISES OF:

DOWNSTAIRS

The front door entrance leads into a porchway where there is room for storing your walking gear. The sitting/dining room with living flame gas wood burner makes this room cosy and welcoming . It has colour T.V.

The Kitchen though quite small is well planned with electric cooker, fridge,
microwave and washing machine/dryer.

UPSTAIRS:

There are two very attractive bedrooms - one double and one twin/double with zip linked beds which can be prepared as requested. Both rooms have their own doors from the landing and also interconnect. The bathroom has a bath with an electric shower over the bath, basin and wc.

There are fitted carpets upstairs and heating is by night storage heaters.
