Stonecroft Cottage Property Description

Stoney Croft is a cosy cottage situated in the centre of the conservation hamlet of Near Sawrey. The hamlet is famous for Beatrix Potter's home, Hill Top. The cottage has a traditional Lakeland pub nearby, and a cream tea garden opposite. There is a local Post Office and a General Store selling most everyday items within an easy walk.

The cottage provides comfortable accommodation and an excellent central base for visiting the Lakes. It also has many walks straight from the door. Fishing & boating are available on.the.nearby.Esthwaite Water. Nearby, Grizedale Forest provides excellent walks and provision for deer and bird watching. Mountain bikes may also be hired there.

The cottage has recently been refurbished retaining plenty of character and charm with carpeted ash flooring, an up to date fitted kitchen and a bathroom with shower.

The accommodation is heated by storage heaters and consists of:
A cosy sitting room ,comfortably furnished, with colour TV, video, stereo and an open fire.

A separate dining room with seating for 4 persons, and a pay phone. Outside the dinning room is a small sun patio with table and chairs.

The kitchen is excellently equipped with washing/drying machine, dishwasher, 'fridge freezer and a full size electric hob and oven. There is also a microwave and all the usual kitchen equipment.

The stairs lead to: Two double bedrooms both furnished in pine.

A bathroom with a bath with shower above it, WC and wash basin.

No extra charge for electricity, duvet, linen and wood.
Secured lockable wood store in which bicycles maybe stored.
Open fire.
Parking for one car outside the cottage and one space available at Sawrey House Country Hotel car park.
Washer/Dryer.
Small sun patio with table and chairs.
Dishwasher.
Concessionary dining at Sawrey House Country Hotel.
