Spinners Loft Self Catering Cottage in Ambleside Lake District Property Description

This lovely 2 bedroomed property has been created from an old spinners workshop in the centre of the village over-looking the village square. It is set on the pretty cobbled lane formally known as Leather, Rag and Putty Street. The property has all the benefits of modern convenience whilst retaining many original features. The internal stone wall, the fantastic beams and the wood burning stove make this a welcoming base for those wanting to explore the mountains and lakes or simply wander around the flower-filled lanes and cobbled yards . Hawkshead offers a variety of shops and places to eat out without ever using the car !

THE ACCOMMODATION COMPRISES OF:

The traditional slate steps (rather steep) lead up to the stable door. The spacious, beamed main room contains the kitchen and lounge. The kitchen is fitted down one side of this large room and has gas oven and hob, fridge and microwave. There is a dining table and chairs.
The lounge area with polished wood floor has colour T.V, stereo and CD player. The wood burning stove is complemented by the internal stone wall. There is a large window seat which overlooks the square - the perfect place to read or
simply watch the world go by!


There are 2 bedrooms, 1 double and one single both stylishly finished - the double has traditional wooden shutters and the single still has the old cast iron fireplace.

The Bathroom - has bath with shower, W.C and basin.
The property is heated throughout by gas
central heating making it warm and cosy.
