Swiss Cottage Self Catering Cottage Ambleside Lake District Property Description

This superb. detached cottage (closed until Christmas for redecoration and refurnishing) is set on the west shore of Esthwaite Water, just a mile from Hawkshead. It has a beautiful, enclosed garden with a summer house. There is also a large separate grassy area leading down to the lake with picnic table.

The porch with thick oak door leads to the dining room with large table and chairs and great views. The comfortable living room has deep leather settees and open fire, TV and DVD . Seats in the bay window for watching the view and reading.The kitchen has a traditional Stanley (which also controls the central heating) as well as a built in hob and oven, dishwasher and microwave. There are views across the garden from the pretty arched window, table and chairs and a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and large fridge freezer and walk in larder.

Upstairs there are 3 pretty bedrooms. The first has a 4 poster bed and lovely views across the lake. The large second room has zip together twins and again great views. The third is to back of the house and has built in large bunks and fitted wardrobes. There is a toilet with a small washbasin and a very pretty bathroom with shower over the bath, wc and basin

From the back door there is a large covered area for walking gear and boots. There is also an outside toilet. The large garage is ideal for storing bikes and there is off road parking for 2 cars.
