Shepherds Cottage Self Catering Cottage Ambleside Lake District Property Description

Situated less than half a mile from the pretty village of Hawkshead in the heart of the Lake district National Park, with Coniston and Ambleside close by. These villages offer a wide range of attractions for all the family as well as providing a variety of shops and choices for eating out.

Nestling in an enviable position, Shepherds Cottage is an attractive single storey barn is adjacent to the owner's farmhouse and superb views over Esthwaite Water.

Footpaths meander through the scenic countryside and nearby woodland to the mountains beyond, making it an ideal base for the enthusiastic hiker.

It has been stylishly furnished and decorated and the cottage offers cosy and welcoming accommodation alongside a typical working Lake District farm.

The lounge/kitchen/diner is a good sized room, tastefully furnished, and retaining the old features of the barn. It has a wood burning stove making it very cosy and ideal for all year round use. There is comfortable seating for 4 people. Facilitates include TV, video, radio, stereo/CD player, and mobile 'phone.
