Gilpin Cottage Property Description

Situated 2 miles west of Lake Windermere, Hawkshead is one of the prettiest villages in England. A wonderful mixture of the historic and picturesque, its whitewashed houses, narrow street and cobbled alleyways are overlooked by a charming 15th Century church. and have remained largely unaltered for the past 300 years. Hawkshead ideal for a holiday at any time of the year. The area, much loved by Beatrix Potter,abounds in delightful scenery with walks to suit all abilities. Grizedale Forest is close by where you will find the famous forest sculpture trails, and mountain biking tracks.


Built in 1710 Gilpin cottage is tucked away down a quaint lane in a little row of terraced cottages is just off the main square. This traditional lakeland cottage has recently been refurbished making a delightful,welcoming home, whilst providing an excellent village location with easy access to village amenities.

DOWNSTAIRS

The Kitchen/dining room electric cooker, fridge, microwave and dining
table and chairs


The front door leads into the pretty sitting room - the living flame gas fire makes this room cosy and welcoming. It has colour T.V. and coordinated soft furnishings.

UPSTAIRS:

There are two very attractive bedrooms - one double and one single.

The shower room has a shower, basin and wc.

There are fitted carpets throughout and heating is by night storage heaters and convector heaters making it ideal for use all year round.
