Jane and Nigel offer the highest standard of comfort, coupled with a warm, personal and professional service to their small family run bed and breakfast. Whether your stay is on business or for pleasure our aim is to ensure your stay at Finches is an enjoyable and relaxing one.

Located in a quiet residential area on the corner of Huntingdon Road/Thornton Road, we are conveniently situated within walking distance to the city, primarily famous for its colleges, but also offering a diverse choice of restaurants, bars and shops to suit all tastes.

Colleges close by include: New Hall, Fitzwilliam, St Edmunds, Lucy Cavendish, Girton, Churchill, and Westminster. For business visitors Finches is very close to the Cambridge University West Site Departments, Castle Business Park, British Antarctic Survey, Cavendish Laboratories, Microsoft, NIAB and the Moller Centre. We are also well located for the Cambridge Science Park and Cambridge Business Park. For golf enthusiasts Girton Golf Club is a few minutes drive, plus the Hemingford Grey driving range is nearby. Very easy access from the M11 & A14.
Cambridge is one of the most beautiful cities in Britain and is steeped in history and tradition. You can explore the colleges of Cambridge University with their stunning architecture, visit the magnificent museums and galleries, or wander around the traditional daily market outside the City's Guildhall. Visitors can take in the atmosphere down the quaint narrow winding cobbled streets or enjoy a picnic along the famous 'Backs' of the River Cam where punting is a must. There is also an open-top touring bus that enables passengers to see the many sights of Cambridge in comfort without walking. Visit The Orchard at Grantchester, open 7 days a week, and enjoy the unique English experience of morning coffee, lunches and afternoon teas served under the fruit trees and take in the beauty of the surroundings sitting in traditional deck chairs.

Late cancellations and premature departures will be charged in full.
Rooms to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
Check-in from 4pm - 7pm other times by arrangement.
