The Old Rectory Bed And Breakfast Property Description

The Old Rectory Bed and Breakfast in Brean Sands in Somerset was once known as The Rectory at Brean was built in 1535 with a value of £7.04 was enlarged and improved by the Rector Michael Terry in 1849.

It remains almost unchanged for the last 100 years, with the original stone walls and gateway leading to the steps down to the back door and Kitchen. There is an arched doorway into the garden matching Perpendicular style of the Church.

Over the years the most significant change has been to the building to the right of the entrance. The Schoolroom, Stables and the Carriage house have all been turned into neat holiday bed and breakfast homes.

A large concervatary is avaliable for our guests to relax in, reading material is avaliable with information about the local area, guests are welcome to make use of the TV, and for small children there is a play area with soft toys avaliable.

Old Rectory have a large Tea garden where guests and non-residents are welcome to sit in the sunshine, and admire the wildlife in our large pond with waterfall. Cool Beverages are avaliable throughout the day to help you cool down, and why not treat yourself to our hugly popular freshly made, locally sourced Cream Teas with home made strawberry jam and locally produced Clotted Cream.

Old Rectory is alo delighted to have their own Private secure car park which guests are welcome to take advantage of.

There are many local amenities avaliable for your leisure, The Old Rectory Bed And Breakfast is situated next to the village Church, within a five minute walk of the five miles of Golden sandy beach.

This is an ideal base from which to explore local places of interest that include, Cheddar Caves, Wookey Hole, Secret World, Animal Farm

The area is also ideal for Fishing and with both Golf and Swimming available with a 10 minute walk.

Horse riding can also be enjoyed within 1 mile

All our rooms have en-suite facilities, beverage tray with tea and coffee making facilities, Colour remote television, Alarm clock radio, our rooms spaciously decorated with plenty of natural light, all have full central heating,

Ground Floor rooms are available upon request,

We are keen to welcome the family pet by prior arrangement
