This unusual Victorian terrace dates from the 1890's with some houses from a much earlier period.
Bootham was a very prestigious area in which to live, with lots of parkland to the north, south and west. Before Henry VIII dissolution of the monasteries, Bootham and St Marys was part of St Marys Abbey, which covered a very large area and the ruins of the Abbey can still be seen in the Museum Gardens.

Within easy driving distance are the Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales, Castle Howard and Harewood House.
