Hosking Rex Campsite Property Description
Hosking Rex Campsite near Helston, is situated on Gear Organic Farm, (of 'Time Team' fame - filmed here for TV in July 2001). The farm slopes down to the beautiful Helford River - off Falmouth Bay, Cornwall.
The camping field is one and a half acres of level mown grass within a well maintained large orchard offering shelter, space, privacy and peace, overlooking the Helford river.
Our organic farm shop sells organic and local produce - fresh fruit and vegetables, apple juice, milk, ice cream etc. Organic and local produce is also used in the homemade takeaway food, including hot pizzas, bread and cakes. Real Cornish pasties made on site daily.

During your stay at Hosking Rex Campsite near Helston, you will find a wide variety of tourist attractions.
Organic Gear Farm (of 'Time Team' fame - filmed here for TV in July 2001). The farm slopes down to the beautiful Helford River - off Falmouth Bay. The CL is a well maintained large orchard offering shelter, space, privacy and peace.There are boats for hire at Helford and St. Anthony to explore Frenchman's Creek and points along the river.
The National Seal Sanctuary and Flambards Theme Park are 5 miles away.
St. Michael's Mount, Penzance, St. Ives and Falmouth are all within easy reach for a day out and Helford River Boats ferry takes you to Trelissick National Trust gardens on north side of river and the St Mawes ferry shuttle goes to Falmouth.
St Mawes is less than 20 minutes - starts at Helford Village 4 miles away.
Boats can be hired at Helford and St Anthony to explore Frenchman's Creek and points along the river. There are many Beaches and small fishing ports within a few miles and Coarse fishing just three miles away.
Some Wet weather activities include - Paradise Park (Hayle), Flambards (Helston), Ships and Castles swimming pool (Falmouth).
